What these terms cover
These terms are between you and Merola Software & Services, Wartauweg 19, 8049 Zurich, Switzerland — the business of Matteo Merola, sole proprietor ("we"). They cover two things: your use of our websites (mimux.dev, account.mimux.dev, docs.mimux.dev) and your purchase of mimux pro licences.
They do not cover the software itself — the software licences do that, and these terms don't replace them:
- The mimux client is free software under the AGPL-3.0.
- The pro layer (REST API, MCP server, webhooks) is licensed under the Elastic License 2.0 (ELv2).
The software licences govern the code. These terms govern the purchase relationship.
Plans and prices
| Plan | Price | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| Annual | €49 / year per instance | Pro features for as long as the subscription runs. Auto-renews via Stripe; cancel anytime from the Stripe customer portal, effective at the end of the paid period. |
| Perpetual | €99 once per instance | Every build released within one year of purchase — the "version watermark" — and those builds run forever. Later builds need a new licence. |
Free trial
Every pro build comes with a 14-day free trial of the pro features, starting at first boot. No licence key, no card, no sign-up.
Payment and delivery
Payments are processed by Stripe. Your licence key is delivered by email immediately after payment, and you can retrieve it again anytime at account.mimux.dev.
Refunds
First purchase, first 14 days: money back, no questions asked. Email mattmezza@gmail.com from the address you purchased with. If you're a consumer in the EU/EEA, your statutory withdrawal rights are honoured where they apply.
When an annual licence expires
You get a 14-day grace period with warnings. After that, only the automation layer stops — the API, the MCP server, and webhooks. The mail client itself never stops working, licensed or not. That is a design promise, not a sales pitch.
What you may not do
The ELv2 restrictions, in plain words:
- Don't resell mimux pro as a hosted or managed service.
- Don't circumvent licence keys.
- Don't remove licence notices.
And for account.mimux.dev: don't abuse it, and don't run automated scraping against the purchase flow. It exists to sell you a key and give it back when you lose it — that's all it needs to survive.
Support
Licence holders get best-effort support by email and GitHub. The free client gets community support through GitHub issues. There are no response-time guarantees either way — we are a small independent software business and no SLA is sold.
Warranty and liability
The software is provided "as is", to the extent permitted by law. Our liability is capped at what mandatory law allows — under Swiss law, liability for intent and gross negligence cannot be excluded, and we don't try to.
Trademark
"mimux" is a trademark of Matteo Merola. Neither the software licences nor these terms grant any rights to the mimux name or logo.
Governing law
Swiss law applies, and the place of jurisdiction is Zurich. Where mandatory consumer-protection law gives you better terms, that law wins — it is reserved.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we change this page and update the date at the top. Changes don't apply retroactively to purchases already made.
